Death & Graves

No more scattered items

When you die on Wyldmere, your inventory doesn’t scatter across the ground for mobs, lava, or other players to pick clean. Instead, a grave is placed at your death location holding everything you were carrying.

Getting your stuff back

Walk back to where you died and right-click the grave to loot it — your items come back to you directly, the way you left them.

Why it works this way

Losing everything in a puddle of items scattered across a ravine (or a lava lake) doesn’t feel good and doesn’t add much to the game — it just adds friction. Graves keep death meaningful without turning every death into an item-recovery chore or a free-for-all for whoever gets there first.

It’s still worth getting back to your grave promptly, especially if you died somewhere dangerous out in the wild — the grave marks the spot, but you still have to survive the trip back.
