Trading with Players

Starting a trade

/trade <player>

(aliases /ts, /tradespire) sends the other player a request. Once they accept, you both get a split trade window — place whatever you’re offering on your own side.

Why it’s safer than a handshake deal

Both sides have to place their offer and then both confirm before anything actually changes hands. Nothing moves until you’ve both locked it in, so there’s no risk of only one side following through.

Cash included

You’re not limited to item-for-item — money can go into the trade alongside (or instead of) items, so a straight “$500 for your extra Netherite Ingot” trade works in one window, no separate /pay needed.

When to use this instead of the alternatives

  • A specific deal with a specific person — use /trade.
  • Selling to whoever’s browsing — list it on the auction house instead.
  • A standing storefront that trades while you’re offline — set up a player shop instead.
